October and November are busy travel months for me. I will be flying all over the country, speaking to support groups and meeting with myeloma experts. Maybe I can meet you, too!
Nothing thrills me more than getting a chance to meet and answer questions from my fellow patients and their caregivers. It’s what I live for–and one of the reasons I stubbornly plan to be around for a long, long time!
My travel schedule starts-out with an easy, one hour drive down to Clearwater, Florida. I will be speaking to the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater group this Saturday. Here are the details:
Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater Multiple Myeloma Education Group
Saturday, October 6th- 10:30 am
Mease Countryside Hospital
3231 N. McMullen Booth Rd
Clearwater, Florida 33761
My good friend, Jim Barth, facilitates the group. Jim is still a full-time teacher. I don’t know how he manages to continue teaching while living with multiple myeloma. That inspires me!
In less than two weeks, I will be flying-up to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Here are the details for that visit:
Grand Rapids Multiple Myeloma Support Group
Monday, October 15th – 6:00 PM
Gilda’s Club of Grand Rapids
1806 Bridge St. NW
Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49504
Group leaders, Harold and Sue VanDuyn, do a wonderful job with this group. I understand that over sixty people attended their last meeting!
I’m sure that Jim in Clearwater, and Harold and Sue in Grand Rapids, would welcome any of my readers that would like to stop by.
And I always stick-around after these meetings, visiting and answering questions. And I believe some great food will be served, too!
If you live nearby, I would love to meet you. I had better start packing!
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
